Historically the State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA) is best known as the organization that operates Georgia’s toll roads. With its new charter it also serves a valuable and vital role as one of the financing arms for state transportation agencies. To both these ends, SRTA is dedicated to providing quality products and services for the customers we serve.
What about SRTA's future? Building upon our two primary responsibilities as defined by statute, SRTA developed four core strategies which will support these initiatives:
- Strengthen Administrative Infrastructure
- Deliver Excellent Customer Service
- Optimize Assets to Extend Services
- Enhance SRTA's Transportation Finance Capability
SRTA will strengthen its administrative infrastructure through a number of initiatives ranging from conducting an organizational assessment, developing and designing management training to implementing, monitoring and tracking performance measures. In our continued efforts to provide quality customer service we have committed to making our Cruise Card more readily accessible to the public and offering a plan to offer lower start-up costs for Cruise Cards. By optimizing our assets to extend services, SRTA will work to provide back room operations and technology services to private businesses developing user fee financed facilities in Georgia. Lastly, to enhance SRTA's transportation finance capability we are working to identify new and innovative sources of revenue and financing.
At SRTA we will continue to be committed to improving the level of transportation services offered in the State of Georgia. By utilizing our resources SRTA can help in the support of a progressive, forward-thinking transportation plan. The strategies as noted above will support our goal to helping build a new and better Georgia!
